Maria started her journey in the communications sector in 2015. Having joined the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) in April 2024, she became its Deputy CEO in June of the same year. Maria was actively involved in a wide range of meetings as part of various international forums and organizations. She has a long track record of participating in the meetings of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the ITU Council, its working and expert groups, as well as the ECOSOC Commission on Science and Tech for Development, the OECD Committee on Digital Economy Policy (CDEP), and the working bodies of APEC, BRICS, and other structures. Maria currently represents the region on matters dealing with the digital agenda within the ITU and the Universal Postal Union.
